E.g I want to make the two circles not concentric, but I run into this all the time. The only option is to delete one and recreate everything it affects. The concentric constraints are not shown. Drawing a selection box around the origin and hitting 'delete' does nothing. This is apparently a basic flaw.

What I've wanted since day 1 of using Fusion is when you click a sketch element, to see a list of constraints on the right with the sketch palette. Then perhaps when you click each constraint there it would highlight the applicable sketch elements. This simple thing would be so useful.

Hi,

I have tested a bit and can confirm that circles with center in the origin often don´t show a concentric symbol*.
But if you delete the circle and create it again, this symbol is displayed.

@jeff_strater or @Phil.E can you check it?

günther

* but instead a coincident symbol

I certainly believe that this can happen. In some simple tests, I have not found a reliable way to reproduce it using the Circle command. Certainly, if you create two circles and then drag one on top of the other, or use the Coincident constraint to make their centers coincident, you will not get a Concentric constraint - that's as expected.

Also, FWIW, two circles with coincident centers are the same as two concentric circles.

I would not expect Fusion to "discover" a concentric constraint when you simply make two points coincident, because those points happen to be arc/circle centers. In some ways, you could argue that this violates the intent - the user chose Coincident, not Concentric.

Hi,

I think it is better to leave this thread, because my role has led to misunderstandings. I didn't want to take a position here, but to act as a moderator. Obviously I have pushed back the TO with this. Therefore, I would like to give him the opportunity now to pursue the topic further.

günther

Thanks for your replies. I welcome your opinions. I had to delete the circle and reapply about five other constraints. But what I really wanted to bring up was the larger problem of constantly looking for hidden constraints, and trying to prevent unwanted constraints from being applied, knowing they can't be removed. I haven't seen this brought up on the forum yet, only the facebook forum. TBH if I'd had the permission I would have posted in feature request. This being the addition of some list of all constraints, for a given element, or vice versa. Heck, maybe a network view would be good. It seems clear that being unable to access or tell apart constraints is not good.
