Can't select hole faces

Any ideas why I can't select hole faces on one side of this part? In this case, I can't select any of the 40 mounting holes for Setup1 T6.

For some reason, it's not liking the alignment. I can't see anything jumping out at me as being off, but Fusion isn't seeing the holes as perpendicular with the face of the part. If you set your Z axis alignment to a hole you should be able to proceed.

Also took a look. It would appear to be off slightly. see attached file. I did get all holes to work.

@devon.dupuis that's not a fair example, as that assumes the customer bought into the extensions 😉

I suspect that the hole builder is having issues with the direction of the holes. I need to take some time and send this in for analysis.

For example, the .505" diameter holes on the end are recognized just fine....

yes I'm fully aware of this. Just trying the path of least resistance first 😉

Most of the holes it does see from the z axis normal. There is a few that won't select without tool orientation. But depending on the post and the actual position tolerance, it might not post. I did try the umc750 post and didn't get any angular output. so my guess is that most likely it will still be fine.

Apologies for jumping in on this isssue folks but it looked interesting 🙂

I think it may be something to do with the way you created the holes on both sides, I am assuming you did some copy/pasting/mirroring or similar to get the pattern on both sides, there seemed to be all sorts of duplicate holes on the top side which suggests some sort of copy where the selections have been re-copied back to the original position but this is pure guesswork, I really don`t have a specific answer for you I`m afraid !!!

However the attached file should help you out some I hope, I simply deleted all the holes on the top side and re-instated them from the other side and it seems to work the same on both sides now, see the attached file, and I have posted out some code from my 4th axis PP and that posted OK as well so I have Zipped that up for you to check out.

Again my aplogies for not having a proper answer for you but at least it does work now, I hope I got the copy flipped to the correct position, I was getting myself a bit confused 🙂 🙂

Its sort of complex. I actually did do something different on both sides, on one side I did it in a component edit, the other as a top level edit. I suppose I may be some micro bit off on my angles, I don't know. Since its essentially a mirror, I just moved on and used the other side to do my work. I really wish hsmworks/f360 would have some more helpful errors.
