Haas pre NGC. Accumulated pecking won't work in tapping with chip breaking cycle

As per title.

After last update Haas pre NGC is playing up.

All of a sudden accumulated pecking is not working after posting out, where it has worked before.

It looks all good when you run simulation, but when i post it, it just errors out.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Only since the last update.

I am getting around by doing seperate toolpaths at the different depths (paintful I know)......hopefully just for today

It turns out accumulated pecking depth needs to be the same as your bottom height.

I.e. if you want to tap 15mm deep with 5mm pecks, your acc pecking depth must be 15mm, pecking depth 5mm and it'll work well. Tested on a machine. Still not sure if it's supposed to be like that.....

Thanks @Anonymous I just checked it on my post and it worked. They must have changed something in the update to affect it.

It is a strange way to do it considering the bottom height will always force a full retract which is what the accumulated height says. Anyway, looks like we are good to go.

Surely they had done something to pre NGC as i had to re-do my ''pass through'', as it wouldn't generate any manually inserted NC codes after the update.

As for manually Inserted codes I noticed that a few updates ago. But that
you have to turn on in the post

Hi,

This issue is still persisting, I wonder if I could get/revert to the old post-processor that was working right with Tapping with chip breaking cycle.

It's been a while now that I have to tap several times at different depths in all my old programs, and honestly I don't like to be doing that.

Please Autodesk, revert to the old Tapping with chip breaking cycle.

Jose the quick easy way to do it is set the peck from hole top and then
match to accumulated.

Thanks for the piece of advice. I believe that's the same as running several tap cycles with increasingly depts. set from hole top... isn't it?, and I do agree it's a quick fix, but it becomes heavy if there are several different diameters tap strategies in the same part.

Please Autodesk, fix this bug (time is crashing me down)
