Hi, @Ronald.Thompson !

Have you tried to upload your post processor to the cloud library? I'm using it that way almost half-year now and having zero issues with posting to the network drive, previously it was real PITA.

You could check fresh version of post processor here https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmposts?

And instructions for uploading are here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-install-a-cloud-post-in-Fusion-360.html

I am using the Tormach post. The folder I need is on the Tormach control computer as a network drive. When I post, I select the folder and it looks normal, showing the correct network path. Then, when I post, it goes to a different (local) folder. When I do it all again it works. This happens every time I try to save a gcode file. It is a real time waster. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Hello,

Under Setup,

Pick the "create NC Program" option.

Fill out the parameters and which ops to post.

You will have something like NC Program 1 show up in your tree.

Right click it and pick "pOST process" to post your file each time, and it will remember the parameters you set.

I.E. post processor and destination folder.

Hope this helps.

@Ronald.Thompson

If you set the Post Processor and the Destination Folder path in your Machine Configuration then whenever you start a new document and do your setup just select the machine you created, in this case Tormach, if you have more than one machine, maybe have a HAAS as well then as you will know which machine you are going to use for the job and whatever one you select it will have all the stuff like Post Processor and Destination Folder already set so when you come to Post your code it will be the correct code for the specific machine generated every time.

Just another option for you 🙂 🙂

For what it`s worth I always keep everything on my local PC, that way nothing ever gets altered/lost where it is out of my control and it doesn`t require a constant Internet connection, I rarely work online unless it is in collaberation with someone else. I have found that for me at least it is faster as I am not waiting for the Fusion Servers that can be a bit slow at peak times 😞

Regards

Rob
