The 3D Connexions beta software did not work on the current release of Big Sur (11.01). I had to upgrade Big Sur to the Public Beta (MacOS 11.1) for it to work as it should. Public beta also solved some other compatibility issues with other apps.

So... Big Sur (MacOS 11.0) Compatibility seems to work well with Fusion 360. However, it does not play nice with a 3D Connexion Device. Their CAD Mouse works very well. But, I can't get any Space mouse to work. They are connected and show battery and even show motion while connecting to the universal receiver. But, they do not function in any software, including theirs. : )

If anyone figures it out, please let me know.

Checks forum name

Nope, not a 3D Mouse forum

Posts anyways

😁😁😁

Sorry Jeff, couldn't resist!

So, how does beta tests work for operating systems? Can you roll back if needed? I'm starting to see some internal discussions about Big Sur, but I tend not to upgrade until I'm somewhat forced too

-EDIT- To address your initial query, I don't think that the 3D Mouse issue is a Fusion problem

Hey Seth : )

No... This is not a fusion problem. Just a general warning to all that want to test the waters. : ) I figured someone could start the conversation since there is no info out there for Fusion compatibility. So, Fusion works just like before, as far as I can tell. Still running parts.

Apple is not big on "Rolling Back". It's a commitment unless you run a dual boot or virtual machine.
