Over 1000 contour segments when selecting geometry on a sketch, but will not show in toolpath

I am VERY new to Fusion 360, (days only). I have converted a jpg of our company logo to dxt file and imported into fusion. I cleaned up all the lines and went to set up as a new toolpath for a plasma cnc table. Instead of being able to select the entire outline of the sketch, it is over 1000 tiny contour segments..... How do I fix this???

As you describe it sounds like the endpoints of the lines are not connected to each other.

Can you please share your file?
Without seeing it, it is hard to help you with your problem.
Within Fusion 360, choose File > Export and save it on your desktop.
After that upload it to this topic so that one of us can take a look at it.

Fusion (along with other parametric tools as far as I am aware) works best with reasonably "clean" geometry.

Depending on what tool you used to convert the JPG to DXF, as well as the quality/noise of the JPG, you can easily end up with something that bogs down Fusion or makes selections really difficult.

In Inkscape, for example, there are tools to simplify and clean up the geometry after doing Trace Bitmap.

Also try exporting to different formats. SVG may be better than DXF depending on the tool producing them.

You can right click on the file in the Fusion Data Panel and select "Share Public Link". Make sure it's set to "Allow Items to be downloaded" and then paste that link here

I looked at a small area on your sketch and this causes the issue of not able to select a close loop.

Took a look at your file. Two more suggestions:

Extrude your sketch so you get a 3D model. While it may be counter-intuitive, having a complex solid often performs better than a complex sketch.
This also allows you to pick the entire face in a single click.
If staying with a sketch, note that you can also select whole sketches from the browser tree in one click from within a CAM operation.
