Custom Lathe tools problems

Hi all.

Does anybody know how to custom this insert and holder in fusion 360 ? I've been trying many times but not work.

The holder is Sandvik with this code DRSNR 3232P 19

Old tool library has limitations but you can get around most since in turning tip radius and insert geometry in combination with tip tangent or insert center point is all that matters.

Use round insert without holder, round grooving tool or 35 degree insert with holder and tip radius equal to one on round insert, I would use tip tangent in either case as that's how I program all my turning work.

Why is a round insert with neutral holder not good enough for you?

There is no neutral holder, so if you want to undercut back at 45 degrees, tool path will fail to generate.

Usually I am using neutral holder, but in some case I've got vibration.

I agree .. no neutral holder for round insert except grooving holder

I stand corrected, neutral holder is in field below one I show but as pointed out, such holder is not rigid enough.

To generate code, you have few choices, tool you actually use does not have to be precisely defined in Fusion, only few parameters that matter need to be defined.
