You could actually use Duplication pattern and select the same exact point on each circle.

The reason that it decided to try on the inside is because you selected the Sketch entity. This is a long standing gripe of mine; when sketch and model share a profile, the selections favors the sketch. To avoid this, turn off sketches unless needed to drive toolpaths.

I created a tool with round peg extruded up. File attached. Then chose 1/8" sq endmill to cut around it. This was successful in creating a tool path.

When I create a second peg or pattern of 9, all others fail to create a tool path. I'm stumped.

Click on red arrow to switch side you want to cut, tool path fails because you selected to cut inside and tool does not fit.

You got the first one right, but don't you wanna remove stock between posts?.... if this is a stool you need at least one more leg or space existing legs 120 degree apart.

I don't see any patterns but if there was one it wouldn't work because patterns by definition in the title only work on features that can be equally spaced, duplicated by fixed distance in linear or mirrored direction or degrees in circle.

Only possible pattern on this model in manufacturing workspace is programming one post and including the one at 180 degrees apart into circular pattern.

Never thought of that as useful option in my line of activities but yes, I should use word "possible" more carefully, especially because you are always watching me.😁

Solved! Sorry for the confusion on patterns. I had posted to this group a test model that I tried when I had issues with the one I was working on. I work hard for find a solution before posting, sometime just starting a new model that is more simple. See file attached.

VicKosta and all, thank you for the VERY quick response. After receiving, I went to work on the mill and all went well. The model has a few more issues that I will resolve.

This community is great, not sure how I will be able to repay.

T
