Missing boxes when setting up machine

When setting up a new machine (X Carve) The field box on the left side of the screen is missing the dimension tab along with the selection for inches or mm at the bottom. Just trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I copy and select generic 3axis router. Paste it to my local. Then go into edit but that's where I'm having an issue finishing the process.

I'm not quite following what you're running into. Could you share some screenshots of what you're (not) seeing?

I get to this point and there is no way for me to add the machine dimensions.

The MM/Imperial is controlled by the active document unit properties. If you're in MM, you'll see MM in the Kinematics for machine size.

Now, bear in mind; this will NOT change the size of the machine that's simulated, it will just change the usable work area.

To get an accurate machine simulation, you're going to want to reach out to your machine manufacturer and see if they can share a simplified version of their machine in a solid model

You shouldn't have had to do anything with the axis definition....

To be totally frank, you can completely bypass this entire step, as it's not really needed unless you have the actual machine model to simulate with

OK, yeah really don't want to go that far. I thought it would place my gcode inside the working area of the machine in Easel.

Nope, that's what your WCS origin setting is for
