Eding post processor: 4th rotary axis rotation limited to 360 °

Hello,

I use the manufacturing extension to use my 4th rotary axis. I want to machine a little statue, I have been able to get the proper machining on Fusion cam, the simulation is ok, I have a continuous rotation of the 4th axis.

I do the post processing (the machine software is Eding). When I start the machine, the spindle start to mill with the rotary axis turning, but after 360 °, the spindle goes back to the origin, and the rotary axis rewind 360 °, and the spindle start to mill so on and so forth. After some investigations, the issue is coming from the fact that in the post processor there is a limitations to 360 °. I would like to know if somebody had the same problem, and he solved it or somebody knows how to fix it.

Can you share your rotary axis definition? Is it set to "cyclic:true"?

Hi,

I am not sure if I understood well your question.

But you will find in attached document a picture of the machine. The 4th
rotary axis is designed for continuous motion, and in the simulation in
Fusion 360 it shows a continuous motion. I checked the ppint with the
assistance of Autodesk, and they confirmed, the problem is coming from the
post processor which only allows 360° rotation, so I need to modify the post
processor, so I am looking for somebody who can help me in this process

I hope it worked out this time, unfortunetaly I cannot attache the G code program because the system does not allow the the file type ".cnc".

still no. Enable "view file extensions" in Windows explorer and rename it to a .nc or .txt file instead.
