Are there sample posts that control threading cycles, helical bores and cylindrical pockets with cycle type control in the drill cycle?
I want to add tool diameter compensation to the threading cycle.
We also use the threading command in 2D operations, but we are wondering if we can also control it in the drilling cycle.

2023/1/8 PM19:55

I attach a new file.
How can I use the "compensation" for the cycle function in the documentation of this screenshot?
The choices "computer", "wear", and "controller" described in the post-processor documentation are not operational!

Thanks for the reply.
I have actually tried your advice.
I am not familiar with the Heidenhain code, but it certainly seems to be different from the Fanuc post output.
I will edit the cycle function with reference to the Heidenhain post, but if you could tell me, does this Heidenhain output allow for tool diameter compensation?
This is what is called the D function in FANUC.

In the heidehain control I don't need to tell the thread cycle to use compensation the control do it automatically!

But if you need a "D" agrument, simply put it in the cycle part in the postprocessor.

However, it seems a bit strange to me that a thread cycle does not automatically use the compensation in the machine control.

is there a reason you cannot just use the Threading cycle, which does allow for comp? I also think with such a large thread you can afford to do a much wider stepover then .15mm

I need to enable compensation to make dimensional adjustments.
With the current Fanuc post, the path is output, but "G41X_Y_D_" is not output, so dimensional adjustment is not possible.
Can't I do the same thing with the 2D threading commands?

Hi.
Thanks for letting me know!
I knew that the 2D threading command could be used for tool radius compensation.
I wanted to be able to use the drill command threading.
I looked at the Heidenhain post cycle and it seemed that the Heidenhain machining cycle was still being used.
The FANUC controller does not offer a machining cycle like HEIDENHAIN's and the user has to create their own machining cycle with a custom macro.
Since I had some knowledge of the Fanuc macro program, I decided to create my own threading cycles.
