You can just probe the hole in G54, set G55 based on that, and then run the inspection in G55.

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding probing and WCS behavior in Fusion 360 on a Haas mill.

My machining setup has always been based on G54. All generated motion/toolpath coordinates are relative to G54, and my probing inspection results were also reported relative to G54.

Now I received a new drawing from a client where the datum is defined differently: the origin is located at the center of the first hole, which is 13 mm away from my G54 setup origin. (as shown in the pic)

What I want to achieve is:

Keep ALL machine motion/toolpath coordinates relative to G54

Keep the actual probing moves relative to G54

BUT output the probing/inspection results relative to another coordinate system, for example G55

I hope that my question is clear and hoping for a good answer
