I don't know why it doesn't just update to the most latest version, I checked for updates this morning and there was one.

I literally only just updated it yesterday so not sure why it didn't just go to the latest version.

BUGS IN RECENT FUSION UPDATE - Copying Toolpaths - (AS OF 9 OCT 2025)

Hello,

I wanted to share some bugs that I have come across when programming similar parts and copying tool paths from another part. The first problem I had was I copied a toolpath over to another part and went to reselect my holes to tap. After I chose my holes and set my bottom height I clicked "OK". This then regenerated the new toolpath for the new part. However, the tool had changed, it was supposed to be T4 M8 TAP, but the copied toolpath had chosen another tool which was T9 10MM ENDMILL. Normally when copying toolpaths, the tool also stays the same and the speeds and feeds do as well. The speeds and feed were wrong and the wrong tool was selected. I recorded my screen and can replicate the problem as shown in "VIDEO 1". Had I not picked up on the tool being different, that could have caused a crash.

I then continued to look into this and tried copying all the tool paths again, and when I go to edit the each toolpath shown in "VIDEO 2" it has the correct speeds and feeds and the correct tool number is attached to the toolpath but on the edit screen, there is a different tool shown. This doesn't seem to effect the posting. Think it is more of a UI issue. Anyway, I have not seen this in the 4 years or so of Fusion programming.

Just double check your copied over toolpaths if you are doing many similar parts. I almost had a crash, I just happened to look over when my 10mm endmill came out rather than an M8 tap, that would have been fun.

I'm almost certain this should have been resolved in the most recent Managed Update. Can you confirm what build of Fusion you're on?
Looking at our ticket system, the fix for this was included in 2604.1.48 which went out last night.

The latest update seems to have fixed this issue for me. This kind of bug is very annoying for those of us who use Fusion 360 for production/ job shop kind of work. Our employers are always trying to drive costs down and it is hard to explain to the owners at times, why programming isn't faster, when these types of bugs occur.

Thanks for fixing this one.

LeoC
