Is there a referance for what the different colors for tool paths represent?

Generally there are some different colors of the toolpath as below -

1. Yellow: it indicates the rapid move of the toolpath

2. Green: it indicates the lead-in/leadout of the toopath

3. Red: it indicates the Ramping move of the toolpath

4. Blue: Most part of the toolpath are blue which indicates the cutting.

Orange: Is no-engagement stay down linking motion for Adaptive Cleating. Or motion updated when using the Feed Optimization feature.

Thanks to everyone, that's helpful.

On another note, I think the fact that it took 3 different folks from atuodesk to get all the colors identified really highlights the need for some kind of reference for things like this! Videos are great learning and visualization tools, but a written reference is much preferred after a certain point for a quick look up.

ON ONE HAND... I appreciate the various use of colors to distinguish motion types. Kudo's to Autodesk to see the importance of this and to incorporated this aspect into our UI.

ON THE OTHER HAND... I would state that it goes against my natural ability to accept RED as an ideal color for any type of engagement motion. I think RED is suited better for a RAPID or COLLISION. Specifically in the case with Fusion 360 and HSM the color RED is assigned for ramping and it just feels wrong. We have been conditioned to see RED throughout our lives used as a cautionary color. And there is science behind it. And that is why emergency vehicles use it as such. I have no choice to accept the choice assigned but I can't get past my feelings everytime I see it applied.

This is just one persons view on it. Doubt it will change but at least I said what I feel 🙂

I completely agree. Red is for collisions and bad stuff. Make ramping purple.

Making ramping purple. Make it pink or peach but anything other than red would be better.
