GCode not printing on Creality K1 Max

I have been trying to use Fusion360 to both design, and then print items.

Fusion contains a Post Process print library with an option for "Creality family / creality" gcode.

When running this on the printer, it homes, then stops saying something about "flow scanning" referring to its lidar calibration.

This is not an issue when I use Creality's native slicer.

Creality's slicer is an inferior program, and frankly, I worry about IP theft from Chinese owned and run operation.

Does anyone know how to get a design sliced in Fusion to print on the K1 Max?

Hi @jandersoniv ,

Sorry you've had problems trying to print to your Creality K1 printer using Fusion. We don't currently support the K1 yet, so that is probably why you are running into some issues. I assume that the start gcode provided by the Fusion Creality post is not exactly what your K1 needs.

My advice would be to look at the start gcode for the printer that Creality uses, and then merge that into your gcode file created from Fusion as a temporary solution.

As a long term solution, we will start working on trying to support the K1 printer in Fusion. Hopefully you will see this available in a future release.

I went to export my project for 3D printing when it prompted me to check out the manufacturing tab and add a machine. With excitement, I went there to find out all Creality printers are supported BUT the K1 and K1 Max. I'm not sure how much different the setting are from the other printers but this would be super awesome to get these printer supported so I could play with these new features!

Hi all,

Yes we originally supported all the Creality printers that were available a couple of years ago, and of course, now that more printers have been released, we need to catch up a bit!

We are currently working on supporting some higher demand printers like Prusa & BambuLab, but will move onto supporting the rest of the Creality printers soon.

if any of you is willing to test a post, I can share some elements.

But:

1- don't share the post publicly, as long as it's not validated.

2 - test with caution, we have done our best to create a correct output, but only tests on the printer will validate it.

3 - Please, please, provide feedback, as if we have positive feedback, we will be able to share the post in the regular library. Or else we may have sufficient information to fix it and test again.

If you are Ok with the terms, send me a private message, and I will share a machine definition file, and a post processor.

it's already 2026, and you still haven't made a post-processor for the creality k1 max? If there are any issues, I'm willing to test it myself as the owner of this device and want to use it in fusion 360

Hi All,

The post is available in Fusion post library, and the several machines definition files have been added to the machine library too.

The post generated g-code had been tested internally on an employee's printer.
