A360 has been known to delete a library for no reason but I've not had it happen for a long time. Try going to this link then Documents open the CAMTools library and see if the library's there. If not try the trash folder.

It could be you closed Fusion before it had finished uploading the library and you might have to make it again. If you have to do this maybe have a look in A360-Documents-CAMPosts before closing Fusion next time.

Hi,

I am looking for some vision direction in terms of tool libraries.

Right now I am trying to decide which way is the best way to work with these tool libraries.

My goal with the tools is to be able to specificly use the actual tool definitions that will be used to machine the part I am programming.

I want the set up sheet to reflect certain exact information that are critical to the set up person. To have a crash free set up because I controlled these bits of information durring the programming portion.

Example;

1/2 standard lenth end mill

tool extention 1.9

In a stub solid holder

Do I create my own personal tool library based on the actual tools I have in my shop?

if so does this mean I need to do all the leg work on the tool info, flute length, shank, dia, and so on and so on...?

Do I just use what is available within a provided Fusion 360 tool library and edit the tool to what it actualy is?

Right now I am unsure which way to go. I dont want to create a cluttered tool library

I hope this isn't to vague of a question.

Hi John,

My personal preference would be to do a hybrid of both your responses. I'd copy/paste the Fusion 360 Tool Libraries to a new library and edit them, along with create custom tools with the correct Tool Holder, Feeds and Speeds etc. If this new library will be my main library, to minimize clutter, I'd go under the Tool Library Folder and turn off all the sample libraries and just have my main one show up.

Hope this helps.

So I created a tool HOLDER library, spent most of the day documenting all our holders we have in our shop.

Super excited... for real verification for clearances...

And I came home and opened up Fusion from my home computer and that Library is not there.

I am guessing that this is a local library and not a cloud library?

Is there a way to do this via the cloud and keep my stuff with me at all times no matter where I log in?

Yes you can do what you want. Make sure you have cloud libraries enabled open the tool manager and select the cloud folder and create a new library. Then go to your local library with your holders and select all of them and drag them to the new cloud library. You can make multiple selections in the library by selecting the tool at the top the holding shift down and picking the tool at the bottom of the library.

ok I did that and all seemed right.
Till I went and logged into another computer and signed into fusion and checked for that cloud library, and it wasn't there.
in fact I came back to my laptop at my toolbox and it was not there as well.

I think I need a bit more info, or I am missing a step here.
