Tool Orientation Missing

I recently noticed that tool orientation is missing. This seems to be recent, as of my renewal to 360 (maybe has something to do with F360 Ultimate no longer a option?).

I've tried all different CAM tool path options and don't see it anywhere.

This was brought up to the developers, and they are looking into it.

Are you talking about the WCS orientation in the Setup, view tool orientation that we don’t currently have in the system, or the Tool orientation on the bottom of the geometry tab? Are you on a MAC or a PC?

Hi Jeff,

Yup talking about the tool orientation on the bottom of the geometry tab. It use to be there, but is no longer there. Running on a PC.

That's what I'm wondering what happened as well.

When I was looking online however, from everything I can read, that Fusion 360 and Fusion 360 Ultimate were combined back in July 2015? When my renewal was up, I went online and signed up for a year term, but was only given the option for Fusion 360 (nowhere could I find Ultimate option) so I just assumed it was be kept the same.

If you click the question mark in the top right, and select About the resulting window should tell you whether you have Ultimate or not.

Yeah, it only says Fusion 360. Seems like it reverted to the regular version, but I don't see anyway to upgrade back to Ultimate?

I don´t think 3+2 was ultimate only.

they say 3+2 is ultimate but the graphic show it under standard. Probably a little confusing.

Since there is no Ultimate for the time being all previously Ultimate features are now in standard as well:

But that still makes it weird that he doesn't see the tool orientation.

That image you have is how old now? I am sure it was accurate at the time. But I am pretty sure I saw it mentioned else where that the standard versoin does not have tool orientation. I could be wrong. The image you show was accurate at the time the release was made to combine the products. I am not sure it was going to apply for ever. They have made it clear there will be an ultimate version and will have different features.

They probaby can't get that info straight until the new tool library is done or maybe it is the replatform I can't remember.

I would assume that image to be correct until Ultimate is available for purchase again.

This page seems to indicate 3+2 is for Ultimate only.

I confirm that 3+2 axis is in Ultimate.

You were right.

There are differences again between Ultimate and "Normal/Standard".

So I guess a lot of people will miss out on this because they have no idea Ultimate exists. It's now where on the autodesk site without doing serious digging.

So they will just buy Fusion 360 subscription without knowing you can get Ultimate through a re-seller.

I am sure they will get it figured out. But until they do decide what they are doing it is confusing for some potential customers. I have ultimate early adopeter pricing so it does not really matter to me either way. When things are in a state of change or uncentainty it does not instill confidence in people. I would think people who are making decison about their business and its future with fusion would want a clear path as to what is going to be in the final product. But if I am a hobbiyst I would not be too concerned as I will have no finanical investemnt.
