The only model selected is the one in the video and images. See the setup screen snapshot (attached). I will export the part and import it into a new design to make sure there is no way the other parts could be causing this. Also the other parts do not have shapes that explain the errors in the toolpath.

Thanks for trying to help.

Why is the 3D Contour toolpath cutting into the model? See the shared video (pasted URL).

This component was made from 2 bodies joined together (because the revolve command in MODEL made 2 bodies instead of one). Fusion 360 seems like it does goes cuts into the part because it does not recognize one of the original bodies as being present. But the model looks correct.

The other toolpaths also cut into the model, only worse. Maybe I will have to redo the model from scratch and make sure the Revolve command does not make two parts.

I just remade the part by scratch and it is even worse in the 3D contour toolpath. I will try another way since you product is so easy to use.

Thanks for such a great product. I have been telling every mechanical engineer I know.

The bug seems even worse. It must be something I am doing wrong. I redid the model (I made a large cylinder and took the intersection between the original part and the cylinder). The 3D Contour toolpath is different, but it still cuts into the model. See the first two images.

I made another model and did not use anything from the original. I put slots in the ring and got the same type of toolpath errors. See the last two attached images. The second on would not attach. I will add it to a reply post.

Have you selected all the models you are working with in the setup under model. It would be easy to help you if you upload the f3d file. To export go to the model workspace right click the top node in the browser (the file name) and select export and save as an f3d file.

Ok what you have wrong is you're selecting the faces under model in the op, what happens when you do this is the op will only see those faces and totally ignore the rest of the model. What you need to do is select the faces under AvoidTouch Surfaces and activate Touch Surfaces.
