Hello,

I am trying to make a 3+2 part in our M460-5AX but the post continues to favor a positive 90° that the machine is not capable of doing. The A-axis tilt cannot move past a positive 20°. My machine configuration has the kinematics set correctly, for 20° to -110° and to favor the negative. I believe my tools are in the correct orientation as well. Not sure what I need to change or if the post is bugged.

Hi

Is A -90 with the Table facing away from you like this?

If so it seems the machine is different to the normal convention and you need to flip the Vector in the Machine Definition

Hmm there seemed to be something funny going on with the machine definition, I realized that the pic I showed above was wrong so i reset it back to standard and now the table swings to the back at A-90 correctly

This is just using the standard post from the Fusion library

See attached

The first pic would be what A90.0 would be. The thing is, is has a soft limit of A20 for the table to swing forward like that.

I just tried to post it on my end, and first I cannot get Machine simulation to even work but also the post is still giving the same results.

Yes thats correct

All I did was add a holder to the cutter and regenerate the toolpaths.

I did change the machine to one of the other ones that were in the document(without the work holding as that one was all messed up)

But it was incorrect to start with also.

The file in message 3 should work for you?

Yeah, I keep getting the error message "You can only select either a machine in CAM setup or use the properties to define your kinematics."

Thing is, if I don't have any machine definition, the program is just incorrect with that positive A-axis tilt command. After searching through what I need to do to get rid of the error AND utilize a machine definition, I come up with bupkis.

This message "You can only select either a machine in CAM setup or use the properties to define your kinematics." is going from PP. It would help if you put the machine definition into the onOpen code string. I solved the problem with this message caused by switching on the AC-trunion function.
