I used a shear hog to remove most of the material. I now want to use .125 mill to get the small detail. How do I tell it to take only the area that hasn't been covered by the shearhog?

3D adaptive is going to be your best bet, for pretty much all the work, really. 2D Adaptive isn't "model aware" so you have to define everything and it gets to be a bit much. 3D, on the other hand, has the ability to "Rest machine" and it is able to detect what previous tools haven't been able to reach. See the attached file

To open the file: File > New Design from file > Select the file

Couple of things;

The 1/4" endmill isn't going to be able to reach into any of the areas left. It thinks it can, but it freezes on calculation. You need to switch to a smaller tool to get those areas.

Second: You had your "Bottom Height" set to model top. Change it to "Selection and select the face you want machined, or set it to Model Bottom
