Hi all, we have DN solutions lynx2100 lsya. im having issues with DN solutions post using the sub spindle and where it grabs/picks up the part. this part ive set it up to grab -19mm down the first diameter and it will post its rapid position to B2. Then feed to B-19.

However this wont work with DN solutions machines as the B is treated as its own machine position and doesn't work from the G54(main spindle position). so Roughly what it would actually be is somewhere around B-300 to B-400 somewhere where it will actually need to be to grab the part. i dont think there is anything wrong with my post configuration or program setup. Is there anyway to get it to post in the correct format or is manual edits needed?

Umm. I've got a Lynx 2100 LSYB sitting right behind me and I can say with 100% certainty that the sub spindle does in fact read the active work offset. Is it possible that there is a parameter in the control that's preventing the -B- from reading the work offset?

im not sure if there would be a parameter. every lynx and puma I've worked on has always read the B home position as B0 then any transfer position has always been B-200 to B-400 depending on how long the parts have been and where part is pulled out from the main spindle? Do you know what the parameter would be?

I do not, sorry. Mine worked properly right out of the gate, so it's not something I've had to mess with.

Does your machine have a Fanuc or Siemens control?

I would suggest contacting your machine tool vendor and asking one of their AE's about this.

This is the code I'm running on my machine without issue:

<LI-CODE lang="general">M0(CLEAN PART AND PLUG)
G0G54B.5
G1B0.F50.

N10(RGH OUT 2.330 DETAIL)</LI-CODE>

I assume you're doing so already, but you do need to put a B value into the 4th row of the work offset. For this part (for example) I've got a B -10.200" value.
