Might it be time to list some of the Bambu Lab 3D printers in the Fusion library Setup section?

Some of these printers have made a distinct impression in the market and have been well received. I would like to have some of the presets already properly set so that I might use Fusion in a more integrated way.

Sadly, we've not yet released anything for the Bambu, our developers are still planning on it, but I don't have a timeline to share at this point, sorry

We have had a lot of interest from customers regarding supporting the Bambu Lab printers in Fusion. This is something that we have moved up the priority ladder, and have started working on.
Please keep your eyes peeled over the next couple of months.

It would be a great idea to include Bambu Lab 3D printers, such as the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, in the Fusion library Setup section. These printers have indeed gained significant recognition and positive feedback in the market. Having presets for these models would enhance the integration with Fusion, streamlining the workflow and ensuring optimal settings are readily available. This addition would benefit users by providing a seamless and efficient experience, allowing for more accurate and efficient 3D printing projects.

"ensuring optimal settings are readily available."

But that's literally what bambu studio/Orca is for. No matter what, Fusion would be lagging behind by X unit of time to replicate a software that already exists and is wonderfully managed BY the company that makes it.

Why has Fusion 360 removed the ability to link to external 3D printer slicer? I know I can still export and then import the STL file to my preferred slicer, but it was nice to have Fusion do the linking. I use a few different 3D printer machine types and the slicers I use have features that your versions will not offer. This latest version of your software has made the user experience for doing 3D printing very cumbersome. If your intention is to try to make users use your version of slicer, then you better get your engineering in gear to keep up with the 3D printer industry. They come out with updates and new features all the time, features your slicers will not have. I am NOT a happy customer user of your product. BTW your online help on this topic is very poor.

I agree in regard to those two slicer programs.

I've been using Fusion 360 since 2018 and with every update it gets better and better. I've been a tooling engineer for over forty years and there are times I choose not to use Solidworks because it's no longer user friendly.
No disrespect to the 360 team but, it will take a lot of effort to match the versatility that Bambu Studio and Orca have to offer. I recommend really challenging yourselves to print models that look impossible. Because currently, those programs make the impossible possible. Especially in the area of writing or editing the G-code.

3d printing has come a long way since 1984 and being able to tweak settings to print what was once extremely difficult is a huge benefit. Those two slicer programs are set up for beginners and professionals.

I would love to see how the 360 team can set itself apart in this industry.

Hi All,

Yes good progress. We have got the information we needed from BambuLab, and now and doing some final validation testing. Note, we will plan to release support for the following BambuLab printers:

X1

X1 carbon

X1E

P1P

P1S

We will be supporting the A1 and A1 mini at a later date.

Note, initially, we will release the BambuLab printers as single material/extruder printers by default since we do not have a prime tower implemented in Fusion to help with material/extruder changes. Note, the functionality is still there in the Fusion slicer for users to use both extruders interchangeably.
