Operation order, Patterned Pattern?

I am setting up a job with multiple copies of a part using the CAM pattern feature.

It turns out that the best way to nest the parts in my stock requires

1. A circular pattern of the initial operations

2. Then a linear pattern of the circular pattern produce in step one.

Fusion 360 seems to do this just fine but I am having trouble with the Operation order. I would like to order the entire job by operation (e.g. do all the spot drilling first, etc.) to minimise tool changes which take a considerable time on our machine.

The circular pattern from step 1 above does this just fine with all operations in the correct order. However, the linear pattern (i.e. the pattern of the circular pattern) does not honor the order. Instead the work flow for the linear pattern goes in steps thorough the circular pattern (i.e. it completed the first instance of the circular pattern by order of operation and then move on the the second instance of the circular pattern) I have tried both "order by tool" and "order by operation".

For example:

In the simplified set up below there are two Operations (Op1 and Op2) these are in a circular pattern and then the circular pattern is in a linear pattern.

I would like to complete Op1 for all instance then move on to Op2 for all instances. But instead I am getting

1. Op1 for all instance in the circular pattern

2. Op2 for all instance in the circular pattern

3. Repeat 1 & 2 for each instance in the linear pattern

Is there a way to make the outer (linear) pattern look through the inner (circular) and complete all instance of Op1 and then move on to Op2?

I have exactly the same issue. I'm able to just rejig the G code for this job because there isn't a lot of operations, but i'd like a way to fix it properly.

checking the "reorder to minimise tool changes" in the post dialogue seems to have no effect on patterned operations.

I'm having the exact same issue. Have tried every combination but nothing is working. I need a linear pattern nested in the circular pattern. Need to order by tool so it does the operation on all linear instances first then rotates and repeats by tool.

I just did something similar in my shop with no issues. Can you export and share your file?
File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

Hmm...yeah, I'm seeing this. That's an odd one, I'll have to make a ticket on it, As an annoying workaround, you can create Pattern in Pattern folders for each individual toolpath. It's cludgey...

I have this reported as CAM-16191
