Does Fusion 360 have a Stock Model Comparison feature?

Specifically, like the Mastercam Verify feature, where the user is able to see the tool path versus the stock model, with colored differences for stock added or stock removed beyond a specified tolerance.

Within Fusion 360 you don’t have a colored visualisation of Stock vs Model.

HSMSimul (this is a machine simulation software Based on the NC file) has this visualisation.

This is within the machine simulation software HSMSimul. It’s software that we implement at customers how wants Machine Simulation software Based on the NC code that comes out HSMWorks, Inventor HSM or Fusion 360.

Fusion does have a simulation comparison built in. check the comparison box under stock and it will show show differences after simulation completes. you can see difference value on the info tab under verification.

i forgot this was still in development, so you will need to turn on the featureflag to get this for now.

Wow, I didn't know anything about FeatureFlags! For those who are new to the idea as well, I needed to first type Ctrl-Alt-C to bring up the Text Command window, then type the follow into the little single-line text entry at the bottom, and Ctrl-Alt-C to dismiss the Text Command window.

Be careful with all those options, as some of them are really betamode items that can be buggy and cause issues.

Is there any way to increase the resolution of the stock compare?
Even when you move the slider all the way over its horrible. When making molds and surfacing and stuff and you want to be absolutely sure your tool to removing what it needs to, it just cannot give you anything good what seems below .002.

Any unofficial configs that can tweak this for give me stupid insane accuracy, even it means sitting and letting my computer thing for an hour?

Edit: I see it has something to do with the tolerance you have on the operation and smoothing? I turned that to stupid small and the stock compare looked pretty good.

In your case, what is "stupid small"? Aside from that, I'm not aware of anything else to do at this point in time

Well it seems when dealing with small areas the stock render becomes quite blocky.
i thought making the tool path tolerance smaller helped, but it did not, at least not like i had hoped.

when dealing with small features, for example an small half moon shape that is raised up in the shape of a pyramid. Total size being about .02” inches in height and maybe .375” long and surfacing this with a .025” inch diam ball endmill the stock verify shows all sorts of areas where the tool gouges the stock.

The stock verify is just not very accurate when dealing with small features. This really sucks because sometimes you cannot tell if its going to actually machine this way or if its just a graphic issue.

so by stupid small, i mean some ability to increase the verify resolution by some means, for example passing a parameter with environmental variables like you could

for some graphics problems in the past.

it would be nice to be able to see what i would get at the machine before i actually start cutting.

Edit: I attached a picture with what it looks like for me. This picture looks the same for in process stock verify as well as when I do stock compare during simulation (At work). Strange thing though, I just loaded this up on my laptop and the stock verify looked pretty good, so maybe there is something else going on between my laptop and my desktop at work?
