Fusion Manage Design Review Fails to open DWF and also fails to save markups on DWFs.

Hi!

At my workplace, we use Inventor, Vault, and Fusion Manage PLM with CoolOrange PowerJobs integration for reviewing drawings (Design Review in Fusion).

During the design review process, we use .DWF files, but we struggle to open them in Fusion. Nine times out of ten, we get the message: “Failed to open .dwf”. However, after retrying several times, the file eventually opens.

The next issue occurs when we add markups and try to save them to the DWF file — the browser freezes and displays a “Not responding” message.

Is this a general issue for Fusion Manage with dwf files, or is this related to our configuration?

Thanks. No - we are still having the same issues. A workaround that we use is to download the .dwf's and use Autodesk Design Review to make markups, and then upload a new version of the .dwf to Fusion, but it would be much(!) appreciated to have the markup tool and viewer working in the browser.

Would like to hear if there are others using .dwf's from Inventor in Fusion in the same manner.

@CadKax - we are experiencing the exact same behavior when viewing and marking up DWF files.

We found out that this was related to the configuration of our firewall. IT made some upgrade on the FW and instead of adding Ports and Domains used by Fusion Manage to the FW, they added ports and domains used by Fusion 360 by mistake ..
However, we still experience now and then that the viewer fails to open the dwf, but usually refreshing the page resolves this. Saving markups on dwf's works wery well now.

We continue to have a lot of problems with the viewer failing to open dwf files. If we repeatedly hit "Try Again" it will sometimes eventually open. In a lot of cases, after attempting more than a dozen times I just give up and go open the dwf in the Vault dwf viewer, where it always works.

I don't know if you're still following this thread, but we're still having a lot of problems with opening DWFs in the Fusion Manage viewer.
