Grid Tab editing when record reaches the end of its workflow

I have a need to have the Grid tab editable even though the record has reached its final workflow state - is this possible?

Currently, it is not editable, and i have not found a method to do this.

Hi John,

The grid tab is subject to same locking rules as the item in general is subjected when it reaches a locked/managed WF state. It is not possible to make it editable for a locked item.

I am running into the same issue as you. I would like to edit the grid while the sections in the item details are locked. Have you found a work around?

Hi Rania,

You may employ the 'Override WF Locking' permissions and assign it to folks that need to update an item in released, wip locked, or both states. Be mindful that they will be able to update entries in any WF-locked tab (see list below). As a general rule, here's where PLM 360 sits with regards to wf locking rules:

Tabs that get locked (can circumvent this via 'Override WF Lock' permission)

Item Details (contains additional finer control over which Sections are/aren't subject to wf locking)
Affected Items
Relationships
Attachments
BOM
Grid

Tabs that remain unlocked

Project Management
Action Notifications
Sourcing
Milestones
Workflow Actions

Read-only Tabs

Change Log
Workflow
Where Used
Supplied Items

Thanks for your response. So if I want the item details tab to be locked for editing for everyone but the grid tab to not be locked there is no way to override just the grid tab?

unfortunately there is no per-tab wf override control; the lock applies to entire item at once, that is all lock-able tabs.

A follow-up to this question...

What about the Project Management & Milestones tabs - they are still editable even though the workflow has reached its end and the last state is Locked?

Is there any way to "lock" these two tabs down like the Details, Grid, and Attachements tabs?

No there is not. These tabs are unaffected by WF locking mechanism.
