PLM Search - not working?

Is anyone else having issue searching for their newly created records?

I'm trying to search for a record either from the home page of plm or in the actual workspace where the record resides but the search cannot find it. It seems to be happening with new records I have created. I refreshed and tried logging in but still can't find the record.

Hi Jason,

We're addressing an issue with search right now, which is likely related to the issue you're seeing. Do you have computed fields in that workspace, by any chance?

Hi Gilliar,

I do have a computed field which is a constant string for all the records. Ok let me know if the search is resolved. Thanks.

Hmm, interesting. What data type is it set to? Single Line Text? Reason I'm asking is because we saw an issue when there's a mismatch between the field type and its computed value.

Alright, thanks Jason. Also, if I can ask you the favour: can you tell me tomorrow if the item you created today shows up in the search results? (Reason is that a re-indexing process is triggered overnight, and I'm curious if that's going to solve the issue).

That is interesting because yesterday I created a record in a different workspace which did not work. Today, it was able to find it. So I originally thought, maybe it just takes some time for the record to be searchable.
