Connecting to a label printer?

Does anybody have experience of connecting Fusion Manage to a label printer e.g. a Zebra type?

We use Fusion Manage heavily to manage our nonconformities within a manufacturing environment. The records have been generating QR codes for the past couple of years but we do nothing with them.

We would like the ability to pass the QR code and some other fields to a label printer (I'm guessing via API) so we can print scannable labels to the nonconforming product. Something like this:

I think the best solution would be to create a client application that prints the label.

The application would have to poll Fusion 360 Manage every 30 minutes or so to see if there were any new labels to print. Then it would print the label with any metadata that you need as well. You would need a mechanism to identify if the record was already processed. And your application would update that record.

This client application would need to use API, and would also need to have the ability to access a printer. Many alternatives are available, it's a matter of what you feel comfortable with.
