I for one am gutted. This shows that AD are simply not serious about addressing the bugs and care only about marketing BS and glossy facades. The truth is that behind all the glitz and fluff, we have a toy, not a serious engineering tool.

How are we supposed to trust that AD have a handle on this when they consistently demonstrate that they do not. We can't keep giving them second chances. They are prioritizing completely the wrong things and that isn't going to change until they start losing customers. It's like they don't live in the real world.

I just got an update (icons in bar have changed, trash can is now cross). Since then everything is so slow that moving the schematic is at 5 fps. 😪 Everything is super slow so you can't work with it. I've already tried clearing the cache, but that didn't help. Any tips?

AD don't generally need to test their software updates. They have a whole army of subscribers paying hundreds of dollars a year for the privilege of testing the software for them.

We asked/pleaded with AD to stop adding Electronics features and address the stability issues. But they simply could not restrain themselves. "Look everyone, shiny new features". So now we have more bugs on top of the bugs we were already fighting. And of course, you can't stop the update. It happens automatically at the next restart. Happy days.

Way to go Autodesk!

Hey Guys,

I'm catching up with the threads talking about the new release so bear with me. If you are seeing super slow performance try clearing your cache. We have had one user report that it solved their performance issue.

I'm pretty sure you won't believe me when I say this but I'm going to say it anyway. Every release of Fusion is tested by several QA teams. The problem isn't that the software isn't tested, the problem is that testing is only one part of a defect mitigation strategy. No QA team can cover every machine configuration that exists, it's just not possible. It's not just Fusion, most software run into a wave of issues with every new release. The problem in Fusion 360 is that we release something new every 6 weeks where as many established products release a new version once maybe twice a year. So we get the wave 12+ times a year where as other deal with it once or twice.

I'll keep reporting what you guys post, just bear with me while I get through all of it.

Best Regards,

Just at this moment i got rid of the problem.

Deleting cache did not help, so I installed the newest graphic card driver (Nvidia RTX) and stopped (not deleted) all third party extensions (Joiner Cad, 100KGarage, parts4cad...). I also set the toolbox adjustments to standard, and restarted Fusion.

After restart everything was working smoothly again. I do not know what exactly solved the problem, but it does.

Hi @silvio3105 ,

I hope you're doing well. After talking with the devs I was told not to recommend clearing the cache. If performance is suffering, one thing that could be happening is the new library sync. If you work across multiple computers, this feature aims keep track of the libraries you have in use and keep the configuration across all of your machines. The first time this happens it might take some time and unfortunately it can interrupt Fusion during the process. At most this should be 10's of minutes. After that it will be incremental so it will be much faster.

If you clear the cache you will basically reset the sync and the next time your start on a different computer you'll have to go through the same process again. So the best thing to do for now is to wait it out. If performance suffers for more than an hour then we have to explore other options like @myjestic did.

Best Regards,

Hi @myjestic @silvio3105 @jonrbloom @RitchieFromParis ,

For the performance issue, one workaround is identified:

Please drag and schematic file and board file out of the main window and then suppose you should see the performance back to normal.

We have got the confirmation from 2 users that the workaround is helpful for them, including @elliottT3MC4 , thank you so much, Elliott!

Hope this workaround is helpful for you too.
