topic Using library.io in Fusion Electronics Forum

Learning to use Fusion 360 with my PCB designs. Two days in and its going pretty well but I wonder if I'm missing something obvious. For example Library.io seems so comprehensive yet I can't find a standard 3mm red LED in the library, which surely has to be one of the more common components. Either it doesn't exist or I'm not using the best search criteria.

I ended up modifying and using an stl file from Kingbright, which was easy enough and got the job done. But I'm left with the nagging feeling that I've missed something obvious in my learning process.

Hi @john.goble,

I hope you're doing well. Go into the library manager and search for the LED library. This one contains several variations of LEDs, including a 3mm LED. This particular library is one of the ones we ship with EAGLE. I generally recommend enabling most of those libraries(if not all) since they are large and have been around for a long time.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
