When editing a device, symbol, or footprint in Fusion 360 Electronics, it is very difficult to know what context you are in (e.g. what thing you are currently editing). After wondering for weeks, I only noticed once I reviewed this screencast that there seems to be a secondary highlight of an item in the content manager that (I guess?) shows the current context. But if you scroll away from that item, or filter the list, or are in a different device/symbol/footprint tab, then you don't know what you're editing and it's easy to get confused - especially when duplicating a part to make another. Sometimes I'm not even sure if I'm editing a device or it's symbol until I click around a bit.

Eagle used to show this in the title of the actual window. I imagine it would be best to put this information in the 'info' pane (the left-most tab in the design manager). Or maybe permanently above the design manager so it's always viewable. Then it could show the hierarchy of your context, e.g. In Library 1 > Current Editing Part 1, or something like that.

Screencast: https://autode.sk/3NcKHk3

Hi @scott_j_swaaley ,

I hope you're doing well. I'll pass this along to our XD team. As you noted, whatever you are working on will have the dark blue fixed highlight but having something more noticeable would be better.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

And that the name was shown somehere.
