Unable to place Schematic symbol from newly created custom library

Hi there,

It's been a few years since I've designed a PCB and thought since I had a F360 account I my as well give it a go.

The problem I'm having is when I followed this tutorial (to create a new project and custom library) I don't see my test component show up in the 'Place Components' tab. When I check the library contents I certainly see the components I've created.

I've attached below the screenshots from what I've created/see when I try to place the component/symbol.

Do you have the schematic symbol, footprint, and 3D package linked to a device in your custom library?

I usually find it easier to place the "part" on the schematic, then switch to the board editor to adjust placement.

Hi @haimsaadia ,

I fully agree with @ritste20. Additionally when you search in the place parts panel, search for a specific part not the library name. In the board editor you will only be allowed to add in footprints, like @ritste20 you are better off placing components on the schematic and not the board because the schematic technically leads the "dance" when it comes to PCB design.
