Low Priority - Why in this one place must I have HUGE gap between layer 2 polygons

I am puzzled why only in this one area on layer 2 (yellow) the DRC will not let me put polygon gap closer than this 2x sort of spacing on the left picture. I got this to work but why just here when it does not complain about clearly close gap seen in mid right boundry. Is this some 'ranking' related issue? (ranking confuses me still).

Thank you for any thoughts and I am not 'blocked' by this but it prompted me to understand why this drc error in right

Hello @mjstn2011,

I hope you're doing well. Remember to check your rules, if a special clearance rule applies to a certain net it may be causing the clearance error on certain polys and not others.

Double check your rules and if you have any nets with special rules that may be at play here.
