Having inserted into a design called Test4 another board (Test2) that has a power supply I re-use I found out I have non plated holes left from where the board was inserted that I cannot remove.

I have created a super simple set of electronic designs. First I had Test4 sheet1 with a couple resistors. Then I did 'Place - Insert Electronic Design' into a new sheet of Test4 using design Test2 and this correctly brought in the Test2 1 sheet schematic and the layout with holes. For the pcb layout this process puts the new insert section with its edge cuts and holes in lower left of pcb of Test4. This is all as expected.

No matter what I try I cannot remove the non plated holes brought in from the insert.

For one insert I removed it's separate edge cuts then moved circuits to top left of the test4 design. This left behind 4 holes that were outside of my main edge cuts.

The second insert of the Test2 that causes sheet3 of Test4 I moved the entire newly inserted board into main edge cuts to the upper right. I then tried to remove holes, no luck. Then removed edge cuts of the new mini section with 2 jacks from Test2. The holes remain.

So I see the holes if I push to 3D yet I cannot remove them.

Thanks in advance for any help. I attach the Test4 board with bogus holes on the pcb and outside it's edge cuts.

Found a solution. The NP holes can only be removed if in PCB editor you first activate 'Place - Hole (NPTH)' So for some reason the holes are as if they don't exist yet get rendered if you are not in 'Place - Hole (NPTH)' mode. This 'may' be a bug but I have my fix now.

Hi @mjstn2011 ,

holes can be deleted only, if the Holes layer is active. Just go into the Layers panel and activate layer Holes (45).

If it is not active, you just see the hole contour which is shown in layer 20, Dimension.

If you activate the Place Hole command, the layer 45, Holes will be activated automatically.

Best regards,
