Thanks, this is a solution but it could be great if we can make a circle pad by our own in our desirable dimensions.

So please make a very simple thing. PTH pad without hole or SMD pad with circle dimensions.

A noob question about ECAD in Fusion 360. I want to put some single pads in bottom layer for soldering cables, no need for 3d package or anything else, just a single pad without a hole. I can't find a similar item in the library and when I go to make a pad by my own the system push me to make a hole which I don't want. I post this photo to understand what I want to do. Any help would be great.

Hi @steriotis,

I hope you're doing well. If you go into the library manager in Fusion 360 you can find the old EAGLE libs available for download. Download the wirepad library. That has what you are looking for.

Best Regards,

Thanks for the super fast answer!

I download the recommended library but still I can't find the wanted part.

I can also make similar parts but these are not what I want.

The PTH pads there have holes and the SMD pads are not circle.

I want a pad circle without hole.

Is this simple part somehow possible?

Hi @steriotis,

If the SMD must be a circle then check out the testpad library. That will have what you are looking for. Generally for soldering a wire a rectangular pad is easier but if your prefer a circle there you go.

Hi @steriotis,

It is possible to make your own, but I figured you were looking for something premade. Within the library you can create a footprint that consists of a square SMD (same X and Y dimension) then set roundness to 100%. That will give you a circular SMD whose diameter is equal to X.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Yes you are right!

I am just realise that I can give square dimensions in SMD pads and then make it 100% round!

I thought that dimensions for SMD pads was only the recommended rectangulars from the list.

Thank you!
