&lt;P&gt;I hope you're doing well. The issue here is that you can't combine text variable with plain text and I don't think it's meant to be included in the Value field of components. The reference designator carries it but that's not what you are trying to do here.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Use module name in text fields</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi &lt;a href="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4235204"&gt;@jorge_garcia&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I use the &lt;STRONG&gt;value&lt;/STRONG&gt; field in the schematic to label connectors, so that the same label, links through to the board. I have the &lt;STRONG&gt;value layer&lt;/STRONG&gt; included in my silkscreen. This is a good way of keeping connector labels coordinated between schematic and board.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In a module definition, it would be great to be able to use the &lt;STRONG&gt;&amp;gt;MODULE&lt;/STRONG&gt; text variable as a placeholder in the &lt;STRONG&gt;value&lt;/STRONG&gt; field, so that it pulls the module name through to the board.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-30px"&gt;e.g. connector value in the module definition set to &lt;STRONG&gt;&amp;gt;MODULE_OUT&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-30px"&gt;connector value on the board would resolve to &lt;STRONG&gt;CH1_OUT&lt;/STRONG&gt;, &lt;STRONG&gt;CH2_OUT&lt;/STRONG&gt; etc&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-30px"&gt;(assuming the module nams are "CH1", "CH2"...)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The list of text variables can be found &lt;A href="https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=ECD-TEXT-VARIABLES-REF" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;MODULE is one of them, but it doesnt pull through, it just prints &amp;gt;MODULE on the board.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
