Why aren't the Schematic "Document Attributes" and the 2D PCB "Documents Attributes" the same? Shouldn't they be accessible between both? This would keep someone from having to enter them twice.

They are accessed from the same Menu Icon.

BR -Chuck

Layout Title Block

Does Fusion Electronics support displaying a title block on the layout side? I've placed the footprint I've always used in Eagle (ported to a Fusion library) but it isn't mapping all of our ">values" text entries from the Global Document Attributes list. Works fine in the schematic workspace.

I've also been unable to use my Global Attributes to say insert the board part number and rev in silkscreen. We used to place text as ">PWB_NUMBER" in silkscreen to ensure its updated from a global attribute.

I've managed to solve this. The attributes need to be created in the board file under Attributes > Document Attributes. Global Attributes appear to be connected to Document Attributes in the schematic but are not connected on the board.

Hello @chuck_toddN7PTC ,

I hope you're doing well. The schematic and board are allowed to have different Document (aka Global) Attributes. This affords more flexibility for unique manufacturing attributes in the 2D PCB.

With that said I think a good improvement here would be to have a mechanism for copying the document attributes from the schematic to the board and vice versa. In this way we could preserve flexibility while making it easy to have the full attribute set available.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
