topic Bug: in some cases, moving a selection causes nets to snap to the nearest angle (New Selection Behaviour) in Fusion Electronics Forum

Hi,

First I want to thank all the Fusion Electronics team staff who worked on the "New Selection Behaviour" feature. I tested it since the release and it is just great, and improves usability of Fusion Electronics a lot! 👏👏 Usually I complain but this time I'm very happy.

I just found a little unintended behavior, it is when moving a selection. I made a minimal example. Just watch the screencast below, you can reproduce it easily (the net should move along but not snap).

Romain

Hi @motla.design,

I hope you're doing well. I spoke to our devs, they will look into this. For now you can circumvent the issue by making a smaller selection.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hi @motla.design

I hope you are doing well！

Thank for reporting this issue to us!

Except for @jorge_garcia 's suggestion, I want to share another workaround to you.

For the new selection, group selection from left to right and right to left have different selection result.

Left to Right - Must include all of the objects to make the selection

Right to Left - Only including a partial of the object can make the selection

For your issue in the video, you do the group selection from left to right. So the marked net in the following screenshot is not selected. It causes the bug .

As a workaround, you can do the group selection from right to left. Then you can do the Move. It will show the expected result.

We will keep you updated when we fix the issue. Sorry again for all inconvenience.

Regards,

Hello @motla.design ,

I hope you're doing well. What was decided in this case is that this scenario is not completely unavoidable and that if it happens the solution is to just adjust the selection. I'm assuming that if you are bringing it up, it's because you ran into it recently. Do you have a more recent example to share?

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
