topic Merging multiple (different) Eagle PCBs in Fusion Electronics Forum

Sorry for posting twice. I have asked the same question already in the Eagle Forum, but was told it might be better to ask here.

With Eagle, you can combine various pre-routed PCBs and their associated schematics (same file names for corresponding BRDs and SCHs) into a single new design via the Eagle import function to finally get a larger board and a more complex circuit diagram with additional pages.

Is such an import feature also supported by Fusion Electronics to be able to seamlessly combine existing PCBs and corresponding schematics?

It's about merging several routed PCBs in Eurocard size into a single larger board (keeping the original PCB routings), which unfortunately is not possible with my Eagle 7.5 (which I'm currently using) due to my license for maximum Eurocard size only.

I was told in the Eagle forum that the Fusion function "Insert Electronic Design" should be the way to go and I hope this allows to merging multiple routed boards into a single new board without the need to re-route everything. Also I hope to get a new schematic (most likely having multiple pages) which includes all partial schematics of the inserted boards.

I appreciate your confirmation so I can go with Fusion.

Hi @eberhard_haug ,

this can be done with the "Insert Electronics Design" option.

This inserts schematic and consistent board. The layout and routed options will remain unchanged.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Hi Richard,

That sounds promising - I will give it a try.
