ECAD Fixes in the May update

Hello to the Fusion ECAD Community!

We greatly appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to notify us of the issues that you find in Fusion, and we would like to show that appreciation!

In an ongoing effort to increase our transparency as well as our communication with you, we're continuing with our initiative of calling out all the Forum Reported bug fixes that are included in each update. The list below comprises all the issues that have been raised by our engaged community. So, without further ado, here is what we're going to see in the May 2024 update (creator of forum thread and the thread itself, in no particular order):

ECAD

@b.legnini	Fusion 360 PCB Buried/Blind Via should no longer block polygon thermals
@beananimal	We’ve fixed the directory issue for Electronics folders on Mac

@crgmakes	Better visibility/selection of Component Origin layer
@chris_cummingsDT	Improvement of the “highlight” behavior for new selections
@troydjEPMYB	How to disable new selection feature
@shawn3WMTV	Improvement with Spice initial Conditions
@crgmakes	Double clicking should now expand Details when choosing different layers
@peter4U7PP	Better switching command (hotkey) when component selected
@chuck_toddN7PTC	Prevent Stich Vias from overlapping
@wayneweeks	Via stitching should no longer cause thermals to disappear
@oleksiymoroz7	Via Stitching should no longer cause Fusion to hang
@v522	Component description should no longer be missing in schematic
@roatchristopher	Edit in Place no longer moves component in wrong direction
@dev2EP8UX	Freezing and Crashing should be reduced

Just as in the March Update, this isn’t to suggest that those are the only fixes that we've included. The list above are the issues specific to the ECAD community; within this update our team has additionally found and closed 150+ different bugs.

Still haven’t seen your issue on the list and wondering if/when it's going to get fixed? Don't hesitate to "bump" the original thread that you created, and I'll be happy to chase down the status of your issue!

Thanks, Jorge!

I am testing the latest May update to the highlighting, recommended by Panpan. So far, it has several improvements and more stability / less jitter. I will report back directly to Panpan, if anything comes up.
