topic Rules check on Gerber Export in Fusion Electronics Forum

I'm wondering if there is a way to trigger a Rules check and pop up a warning flag on any non-approved errors when clicking "export Gerber...outputs"?

It would be a nice feature if a warning popped up showing Unapproved errors when trying to export the Gerber files for a circuit board. I did some looking in the preferences and other areas but didn't see anything to trigger a rules check automatically.

Hello @BeeAmaker ,

I hope you're doing well. I think as an option it's a good idea, there are occasions where you want to process gerbers even though you have errors on the board. For example, when you have multiple polys overlapping at a single point for split power planes.

I'll put in a feature request for this, but it should be a choice because I can see advanced users wanting this off.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Sounds good thanks. I agree it should be selectable - or at least a "Ignore error" button to continue or something like that.
