Hi @AwiIngo ,

Unfortunately, there is no better solution right now. I've added your comments to the existing ticket about this. The only option now, is just to rename the file after it's been generated.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Hi,

I'm in the process of automating the export process of multiples files for my PCBs and facing issues regarding variables that are proposed in various command line commands such as print, manufacturing export and others.
%N return the file name with the version number (ex: PRJ001-E00 v6)
Would there be any way for me to only get the actual file name without the version number " v6"?

Or could it be possible to add custom arguments to these commands to let user send other "variables" to these commands and customize them to our need?

Hello,

i want to bump this topic, since I'm currently in the same predicament.

When exporting data with the CAM-processor i want to use the actual name of the board WITHOUT the version number.

Example:

- Boardname: boardname_v1.2
- Fusion board-version: V27

- Placeholder: image/%N_assembly.pdf

What i want it to look like:

image/boardname_v1.2_assembly.pdf

What i get:

image/boardname_v1.2 v27_assembly.pdf

Ideally there are multiple placeholders variables like:

%N = boardname_v1.2

%V = 27

And i can combine them however i want, if i want.

I found this topic multiple times on these forums, for different parts within fusion360 electronics.

If i missed the solution by mistake, i apologize.

Thanks and kind regards
