Default layer for TEXT in Fusion360 Electronics schematics

I would like to have schematic TEXT on its own layer. The current default is the INFO LAYER.

I know how to create a new layer and assign a name. Can this be reassigned?

I hope you're doing well. See the image, you can create a new layer by going to the plus sign in the layers panel.

I actually have similar issue with scripts. So, before that "Layers update" I could select a layer and write in it using scripts. Now I can do it still in PCB editor, but not in Schematic editor. It looks like it is the same issue. Text command places the text by some default into sd4 layer. Can you suggest a solution on that issue?
The main problem I'm trying to solve with scripts is the automatic documentation creation. I need a specific set of PCB and schematic layers to be printed to pdf. The scripts was a very good work around for me. But now script can't write to a specific layer in schematic editor.

If you type CHANGE LAYER whateverlayeryouwant in the CLI and press enter and then use the text command does it not write to the layer you just set? Please try this and let me know if it works.

Hello Jorge,
thanks for your reply. I have just tested your suggestion and it does not work in Schematic as before. Command TEXT overrides the previous layer selection. However it still works in PCB editor. So, if I chose layer in PCB and use Text command, the layer selection remains.
BTW, I just found another issue with scripting. Deleting a layer (using new naming convention) does not work, e.g. LAYER -u104 simply selects the layer u104 but LAYER -203 deletes u104.
Also selection is behaving differently as I can tell. So, before GROUP ALL would select the objects on visible layers only. Now it tries to select objects taking into account all the layers, so deleting selected objects does not work without error to me at least in PCB editor..

Thanks for letting me know that it's not working in the schematic editor. That is definitely a bug and I'll report it once I can reproduce it.

For the deletion issue, I'm assuming the layer is empty since that's a requirement for the deletion to work. I'll explore that and try to duplicate it as well.

According to the documentation GROUP ALL will select everything subject to the selection filter. It's possible that at one point it only worked on visible layers but as of right now the documentation doesn't reflect that and rather ties selection to the selection filter.
