[FEAT. REQUEST] Edit thermal relief for specific pads

I'm working on a big PCB which has both large through-hole connectors and small 0402 components. I need different widths for the thermal reliefs of each components. Is it possible to add, in a future release of Fusion 360, the ability to select a single pad of a component and enable a "thermal relief override", which changes the width and n. of spokes of the thermal relief?

At the moment, I created a lot of polygons, each with different thermal relief settings, but this operation is really annoying and time-consuming...

Great, thank you. I don't know how difficult of a feature it is, but if you could implement this in the next release it would be absolutely amazing.

Another pad-related feature to add would be teardrops... The teardrop ULP script is a bit annoying to use, as it adds teardrops everywhere using little pieces of tracks, so moving the track connected to the pad messes everything up. Something like a checkbox on a "Pad properties" menu would be perfect... together with the thermal relief override!

Is this feature implemented? We have the same problem where we want a copper poor to have no thermal reliefs by default (RF on PCB) but want to give specific pads (bigger components like i.e. a battery) a thermal relief because of manufacturing/soldering issues. The work around of keep out areas around pads is not really a solution, especially not on internal layers.

Hi @mschaapH2WTG,

I hope you're doing well. In Fusion you can specify the thermal width at the polygon level. So what you do is turn off thermals on the outermost polygon and then draw localized polygons enclosing the pads you want to have thermals. You can specify the thermal width in the polygon properties.

Is it possible to change the number of spokes of these thermal reliefs? Or change the location of the spokes?

Hello @wlilegdo ,

I hope you're doing well. There is currently no mechanism to alter the number of spokes or the location of the spokes or to alter their location.

You can always manually route a trace if you want additional connections to the pad.
