I get this message when I save a 2D PCB and I think what it's saying is "remember to forward the changes you've made on the 2D PCB to the 3D PCB, otherwise if you then proceed to make changes to the 3D PCB you have a chance of ending up in a position where the 2 files aren't synced" (and vice versa)

The yes and no, I imagine, will either continue with the save or cancel it, giving you an opportunity to forward/back annotate any changes that have been made.

I imagine this is important if your working along side someone else because changes could be made to the 2D PCB but not forwarded, when the other person then opens the 3D PCB it's effectively out of date. If that person was then to make changes to the 3D PCB and push them back, it would make unwanted changes to the 2D PCB and possibly revert all the changes that had been made previsouly.

Although I haven't actually attempted any of that so it's purely my understanding - I've clicked yes every time I've seen it.

Hi Guys,

It's important for now, to make sure to push changes from the 2D file to the 3D one and vice versa. A save operation is not enough to update the other asset. This is something that will improve as time goes on.

@Spragnut's understanding is bang on.

Best Regards,
