Not possible to create PCB board in Fusion 360 current version

Hi All, I watched the Autodesk videos from 2019 on how you can do Create PCB from your sketch in Fusion 360. However in the current version there is no such option, instead there is an option for Create 3D PCB, but that does not create a board. Instead it creates a package which is not possible to import in Eagle. I am hoping someone can share how this is done in the current version. Many thanks!

I am still searching for the answer on this one.

I created a sketch - created 3D PCB - pushed to 2D PCB
That created 3 separate files, none of which can be pulled into Eagle.

Either
A: It is no longer possible.
B: It is totally possible, yet bizarrely convoluted and non-intuitive like many other things (eagle library as an example)

.....continuing to figure this one out. I have a new PCB design that starts next week. REALLY hoping that I don't have any delays.

I have gone around the block a times in Fusion360 trying to create a PCB and push it to Eagle - total failure.

This is a devastating failure for me. I literally cannot start a new project without being able to define the PCB in Fusion as I have since the Eagle/Fusion push-pull functionality was introduced quite a while ago.

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. I certainly hope it is possible, it seemed like such an awesome feature watching the videos from last year, and seemed so easy too. But in the new version I just cant make it work. I think you should push to 2D, but still that was not possible to link from Eagle either. Exporting the board after push to 2D seems possible , but it wont have any link back to Fusion and I'm not sure how to get my Eagle schema to use the imported board though i suspect that should be possible, albeit quite a terrible workflow.

Hopefully someone has an idea how this can be done?

Indeed - I was panicking since I have a new project starting with tightly integrated MCAD and ECAD and the previous workflow was not working. This will keep me in business.

let me show you a way that also works. I create a sketch, create a 3D PCB, link it to a 2D PCB and export it to a brd file.

Ok - I reviewed the the video and see a gaping flaw relative to the old workflow.
The PCB is never synced with Eagle. Exporting/Importing is not a solution when we just had a managed synchronous work flow to deal with PCB outlines between Eagle and Fusion. This is the clumsy workflow I used a long time ago with Solidworks/Altium and Solidworks/Eagle.

Once the PCB layout is coming together - is it possible to push the 3D board (as we have been doing) to Fusion to design around components as they are place on the PCB? Is that push/pull functionality dead?

@RichardHammerlI appreciate the efforts to integrate Eagle into Fusion and fully understand that it is a monumental task. It is so remarkably CRITICAL that you DO NOT damage the existing workflow until the new one is mature and ready for real professional usage. I can hardly express my disappointment.

Hi, I actually gave up on Eagle and imported my schema in Fusion Electronics. I managed to eventually find a way to do it there, albeit not a very intuitive one. If you create a 3D PCB from your Schema then go to your Fusion designed sketch, create a 3D PCB based on that and choose reference 2D PCB and select the 2D PCB that was generated from the schema, that worked in Fusion with Electronics Design, or at least appears to work. Not sure if that same thing would work with an Eagle created PCB though as i haven't tested that.

I would say there is lots of room for improvements in this area.

I dont need a routing feature inside fusion.

the workflow was broken and you had to use a workaround, but with the current Fusion and EAGLE all works well.

Create a sketch in Fusion, make it a 3D PCB and pull it into your EAGLE design. I made a short video few days ago.

@RichardHammerl About that, I'm having a problem with Sync to Fusion feature from Eagle. I did create a 3D PCB and saved it in Fusion, but somehow Eagle won't let me select the file(it just shows the file in gray and makes the file unselectable). I even copied the exact same steps you took in the Youtube, but still no luck. Any idea why this might be the case?
