My hope and dream for editable fields is to allow arithmetic expressions and unit conversion along with current unit callout.

Examples:
If I am in INCHES mode, it would be nice to type in 1mm and get .039 in the box.
A expression of 1.495+.005 would evaluate to 1.500

Please follow standard conventions in your panels. In the example below, only Position, Angle and Mirror are editable, but all fields look like read/write. Please gray the fields or use Labels. Or, even better, allow for editing. I have no idea why editing the fields in the example is prohibited.

Hi Dieter.menne,

Thank you for participating on the Fusion 360 electronics forum. Thanks for taking the time to provide us your observation regarding un-editable fields on the inspector. We will share this link with the developing that way they can consider updating on a future update.

Best Regards,

I was thinking the same thing. You can only view properties but not edit them? Why?

To be honest though both of the flyout panes on the left and right of the design area need a major rethink. They're just too cluttered and disorganized to be easy to use.

C|

As an example, I do not understand why I can change the NAME via right-click, but not in the editable field of the panel.
