When I make a sketch and then want to select it for editing, the marker is shifted upwards. I hope someone can help me solve this problem.

share your design here. I doubt that it is the selection that is off - it looks from the images like the lines themselves are separated by a bit. Can you constrain those lines to be colinear?

Hi, Thanks for the replay,

As you can see on the picture ( and I have double-checked this) is the line going from left to right through the square. So there is absolutely no extra line or lines that can be separated. Also, I see the issue happening in different places in the same sketch file. It is really strange 🙂 . Attached some more pictures of the issue

Ok herby the file. on the picture, you can see where to find the sketch. or there a link https://myhub.autodesk360.com/ue29ccde8/shares/public/SH919a0QTf3c32634dcf1510212719d0c196

Hi Jeff, Anny idea when there will be a solution. I currently can't continue my work as long this is not fixed. It is simply impossible to design something good like this.

Thanks

Hello Jeff,

I'm sorry to say but as you can see in the file is that the underlying geometric data is NOT correct and reliable. When I extrude and cut out some parts small parts in the thickness of the deviation are NOT cut out. This proofs that what I see is also what I get. And what I see is incorrect. I completely reinstalled the software and created a new design. I however still keep having the issue. Please take a look in the provided links to try it out yourself.

Thanks Net marker

@net-marker - I have discussed this with our graphics team, and they have verified the basic description I provided above. Any graphical representation of a geometric object will always be an approximation. In this case, the approximation used for the curve and for the profile do not agree, so this apparent gap is shown on the screen. The underlying data, however, is still accurate, and can be relied upon for operations such as machining, etc. There is no loss of accuracy here, you can ignore these small graphical differences.
