I'm fighting few a number of package issues, some of which I have an open case for direct with support. This one I felt was worth asking here since someone else might have seen it.

We have a couple PCB designs that were done in eagle, but we imported to fusion to try and move all our design work to the single tool. Schematic and board files were uploaded, then a new electronics design started and used the link tools to connect the uploaded files. That part worked fine. There are a bunch of common components from the rcl library that refuse to bring their 3d package into the 3d board model.

I have run the update libraries command, and even done a replace component from the latest rcl linrary. The part in the 2d board even shows that it has a package attached. One of the screen shots I attached is showing the window when I right click the device and select package. When I generate the 3d model, it just shows the default flat rectangle as if a package isn't defined.

If I replace the package (in this case a C0402K with a C0402), the 3d model updates and shows that full package. But if I then revert it back to the original, it goes back to behaving like there isn't a package defined. Kinda stumped.

We've been having a lot of issues with imported designs flat our refusing to show packages, but this one using the basic libraries, not custom ones, seems odd on it's own. Hoping someone else has seen it or that it provides some info to the developers.

The short answer is don't try to import existing eagle stuff into fusion. The two are not 100% compatible, even though fusion electronics is just eagle running inside fusion. Things have gotten better, but there are still problems with how the libraries work. If you want to use fusion as your only tool then the best path is to just recreate new versions of any custom libraries you have in fusion, and then start your designs from scratch in fusion. That's the path we had to take last year.
