I posted a lengthy report on some testing I did on a similar issue with 3D packages. I'm not sure if it applies directly to the issue you are seeing, but I have a feeling it may at least be related. I'm including a link to that thread if you would like to have a look. Be sure to check out my PDF attached to one of my posts.

Also, please post here if you find a solution or workaround for this issue.

PCB components are unvisible in Fusion 360

Serious Library Bug in 2.0.7824

We noticed this last night when my coworker tried to update a board after I updated parts in the library we're using. He was using Mac build 2.0.7824, I had PC build 2.0.7813.

When he ran the update "update design from library" command (not from all libraries), it started giving errors about there being no 3d package for a whole bunch of devices, so they'd be removed. (see attached screenshot). When I ran the same command from my older build, it updated the 1 component it needed correctly with no errors. This morning I updated fusion to the .7824 build and now I get the same error when running that command.

The library update I had made was simply rotating the 3d package 180°, which we wanted reflected in the board 3d file.

I can open the library and all the components it is complaining about all have the correct 3d package associated with them. This seems like a step backwards in functionality.

Hello @Anonymous,

Could you provide more context about what you were working on when this happened? Definitely something weird is going on.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

We were using an existing electronics design, meaning one started a day or two before. I added a new component to our library, as well as added a 3d package to another that didn't have it yet. My co-worker then tried to run the update from that library to bring in the new 3d package and got that error. On the older build, it worked fine. When I updated to the newer build I could reproduce the error.

I have not yet tried to reproduce with another electronics design. If I have time today I will try.
